My favorite room in the house is the kitchen, and my favorite space in the kitchen is my cookbook shelf. Over 6 feet of shelves containing cookbooks from all over the world. One day I thought, wow I should cook my way through this gorg Chinatown cookbook, and learn more about the traditions that take place around family tables in China. Then I thought, wait maybe I’ll make my way through this Palestinian cookbook instead…no, maybe I’ll go back to my Jewish Weisz roots and cook through The Gefilte Manifesto.

I couldn’t decide where to go first, so I decided instead to touch base in ALL the countries and explore my love of food in relation to family & tradition all around the world.

First stop, Ireland! As far as my genetic heritage goes, I have more family history here than anywhere else. Both sides of my family trace far back to Ireland, and my first meal comes from my great-great-grandmother, Alice Mae O’Halley.

Buckle in because as of today, there are 195 recipes to explore. Meet me right here every Saturday as I share with you my next stop around the globe.

WHAT on Earth will I cook when I get to the United States?

Thanks for joining this adventure; we’ll be here a while!
